You the player must search the house for the Ghost using a variety of Detection Equipment at your disposal, including but not limited to Salt, EVP Readers, and Chalk. There are also less powerful items like Dowsing Rods, Photo Cameras, and Hammers that you can use to earn a little bit of extra money or play with the Ghost.
The Ghost has four potential types of Evidence, and will choose two at random for you to find. Once you have your two options written down, collect your gear and go back to the Utility Area, which acts as a shop and safe haven, and leave the house with the big red button to see if you are right.
